DESCRIPTION:The VFW Post 5408 [2021] March Meeting will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at 10:00. During this meeting, we open nominations of officers for the 2021-2022 year.\nPer the VFW Bylaws, Post members in good standing can accept nomination for any office. Those looking to accept nomination should do so in person or via written letter. Those letters from the candidate for office need to be presented by the nominating person to the Post Adjutant prior to the opening of nominations.\nAt the April Meeting [Election], candidates for office will have three to five minutes to present what they want to do if elected by the Post Members.\nEach March, Post Nominations Are Open for the following Post Positions:\n\nPost Commander\nSenior Vice Commander\nJunior Vice Commander\nPost Quartermaster\nChaplain\n3 Year Trustee\nHouse Committee Members (4 seats)\n\nThe following officer positions can be appointed by the incoming Commander:\n\nJudge Advocate\nSurgeon\n\nPost members and Auxiliary members meet monthly on the third Saturday of each month.\n
