DESCRIPTION:April’s VFW Post 5408 Meeting will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at 10:00a.m.. During this meeting, we continue to nominate officers for the 2021-2022 year, and then we will hold elections.\nPer the VFW Bylaws, Post members in good standing can accept nomination for any office. Those looking to accept nomination should do so in person or via written letter. Those letters from the candidate for office need to be presented by the nominating person to the Post Adjutant prior to the opening of nominations.\nThose who have been nominated will have three to five minutes to present what they want to do if elected to the Post Members.\n\nEach March, Post Nominations Are Open for the following Post Positions:\n\nPost Commander\nSenior Vice Commander\nJunior Vice Commander\nPost Quartermaster\nChaplain\n3 Year Trustee\n2 Year Trustee\n1 Year Trustee\nHouse Committee Members (4 seats)\n\nThe following officer positions can be appointed by the incoming Commander:\n\nJudge Advocate\nSurgeon\n\nPost members and Auxiliary members meet monthly on the third Saturday of each month.\n
